HollyFrontier Joins Utah Clean Air Partnership

SALT LAKE CITY, [November 28, 2018] — HollyFrontier Woods Cross Refining LLC announced today that it has joined the Utah Clean Air Partnership (UCAIR).

UCAIR is a statewide clean air partnership created to make it easier for individuals, businesses and communities to make small changes to improve Utah’s air. UCAIR educates people, provides grants, and encourages corporate and public participation.

HollyFrontier supports the cities of Woods Cross, West Bountiful, and Bountiful with volunteer time, philanthropic contributions and environmentally-driven community partnerships. The refinery is taking steps to improve energy efficiency with initiatives such as an onsite nitrogen generation plant, which is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 4 million pounds per year, beginning early 2019.

“UCAIR does a great job of uniting people and inspiring action,” said Scott White, Vice President & Refinery Manager of HollyFrontier Woods Cross LLC. “We look forward to continuing this relationship and improving our community together.”

Thom Carter, Executive Director of UCAIR, added, “We are thrilled to have HollyFrontier join UCAIR as a partner in our collective effort to improve air quality throughout the Utah. UCAIR is proud of the success we’ve demonstrated over the last several years to educate, provide grants, and identify willing partners, like HollyFrontier, to support us for the long term.”
